About me
It’s more than a title, it’s my passion. From the time I was a little girl I dreamed of creating beautiful and well-functioning spaces for families to live in. When I graduated college, I made that dream a reality by going to work for an architectural firm.
Shortly thereafter, I married and eventually became a mom. My passion grew from designing and drawing houses to building a strong spiritual home for my family. I struggled in the day-to-day to know what I needed to do to be a godly wife and mother. So, I began reading and studying the Bible on my own. Some days went well, and I felt good about my spiritual progress. But there were many days I fell to my knees begging God to help me navigate difficult—or even ordinary—situations. I had no idea this would be so hard.
As I learned how to build the foundation of our spiritual home, I finally began to share my questions and fears with other godly women. When I realized they were just like me, trying to make it through each day without ruining their kids or tearing down their marriages, I no longer felt alone. Now that I’ve been married 40 years and have two amazing adult kids with wonderful spouses and four adorable grandchildren, I want to give back and encourage others in their journey. I hope my experience, blog stories and podcast interviews will help lift you out of the trenches and onto a firm foundation.
