Twenty-five years ago, our nation faced one of the darkest days in American history. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, including civilians, office workers, and hundreds of first responders who ran toward danger instead of away from it.
In this powerful live interview, retired NYC firefighter Niels Jorgensen shares what he witnessed at Ground Zero on 9/11 — the chaos, the courage, and the heartbreaking loss. He also opens up about his battle with a rare form of leukemia caused by toxin exposure during the recovery efforts, and the miraculous way God carried him through it.
This episode was recorded in front of an audience as we honored both the victims of 9/11 and our local Fountain Inn fire, police, and EMS departments. Their presence made the night even more meaningful.
