How a 133 Year-Old House Helped to Heal a Broken Heart with Elise Roper

Today’s guest is someone I’m privileged to introduce you to, my daughter, Elise Roper. Elise has such an amazing testimony of how God took some deeply painful disappointments in her life and strengthened her faith and trust in Him. The most difficult one being her fiancé breaking off their engagement after almost all of the wedding had been planned and deposits paid for. We talk about that horrible time in her life and how God gave her the opportunity to restore a 133 year-old house in the middle of our little town and used that to help heal her broken heart. after the future she thought she would have turned to ashes. We share how we worked together to bring beauty and life back to the old home and how it represented Elise’s own journey in tearing out the pain and restoring her own life.

She also has a message for singles to give them hope for their future. This wasn’t an easy interview for either of us to do, but we both feel like it will encourage and bring hope to those who are going through their own life-changing disappointments. Sometimes suffering is the only way to bring us closer to God and make our faith stronger. I know you’ll be blessed by Elise’s story.
